RJ Budd – Teton Springs Golf Club

June 9, 2014 in 2-year, Internships

After my visit in the Denver area, I hopped an early morning flight to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  I then made my way to Teton Springs Golf Club to visit RJ Budd. RJ is interning at the club and had been there since late March. Their biggest issues was some minor damage to the rough due to voles and also major irrigation problems due to the intense winter and freezing of the fairways.

During the early stages of his internship, RJ has experienced quite a bit of a irrigation repair, which caused several heads (dozens and counting) to break. We even saw a break in the middle of the 5th fairway.

Some of the highlights of the visit were the spectacular views of the great course conditions and RJ’s excitement about working on the golf course as well as his opportunity to volunteer at the PGA championship with one of his classmates at Valhalla in Kentucky in August.

Check out some photos of my visit with RJ below.
