Turf Students Receive PTC Scholarships

Gavin Kopczynskie, Tom Bettle, and Cameron Foreman

Cameron Foreman and Gavin Kopczynskie are the spring 2022 recipients of the Pennsylvania Turfgrass Council (PTC) scholarships.  The PTC awards its scholarship to graduating Turfgrass Science students who have demonstrated excellent academic records during their Penn State career.

Cameron is a native of Hummelstown, PA and will serve as the student marshal for the Department of Plant Science at commencement ceremonies for the College of Agricultural Sciences in May.  He interned last summer with Trump National Golf Club in Washington, DC.  After graduation, he will be working as an assistant superintendent at Lancaster Country Club.

Gavin’s hometown is Freeland, PA.  He has interned at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club in Mountain Top, PA and at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, NJ.  Gavin has accepted a position at Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, DE where he will be a second assistant superintendent on the North Course.
