Golf Legend Arnold Palmer is Coming to State College

September 12, 2013 in Articles

Professional golfer and iced tea tycoon Arnold Palmer is coming to State College tomorrow for the launch of a special project at The Village at Penn State, a senior living facility. He will be there at noon to announce the development of Palmer Park, according to the Centre Daily Times.

Palmer is regarded by many as one of the greatest golfers of all time, earning himself 92 overall victories. He was the PGA Player of the Year in 1960 and ’62, captained the Ryder Cup Team in 1963 and ’75, and had four victories at The Masters. Oh, and the man makes a pretty mean lemonade/iced tea too.

Thursday’s event will include a reception, turf grass exhibit, golf Q&A and demonstration, remarks from Liberty Lutheran CEO Luanne Fisher, viewing of Palmer Park concepts, live music, food, and drinks.
