RJ Budd – Teton Springs Golf Club
After my visit in the Denver area, I hopped an early morning flight to Jackson Hole Wyoming. I then made my way to Teton Springs Golf Club to visit with RJ Budd. RJ was interning at the golf club and had been there since late March or early April. Their biggest issue was damage in the rough.

Jack Blythe – Denver Country Club
Having driven to Vail and back to Denver in one day, I woke up this morning for an early morning visit at Cherry Hill Country Club where I was shooting an upcoming ad for the Penn State Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program. The ad highlights alumnus Mike Burke, Superintendent at the Cherry Hills Country Club; and will be included in the September issue of various magazines as well as the Official Tournament Program for the upcoming BMW Championship.

Devon Moll – Country Club of the Rockies
After a brief stay in Palm Springs Islands, I'm going to visit three golf courses in the Denver area, the first one being the Country Club the Rockies in Vail, Colorado. This visit was with Devon Moll, who's doing an internship with another Penn State alum, Kevin Ross.

José Verduzco – El Dorado Country Club
The third stop on my internship visit for Penn State's Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program was to Palm Springs, California to visit with Jose Verduzco at Eldorado country. The Superintendent at Eldorado Country Club is Craig Ellis, who was a 1998 graduate of Penn State's Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program.

Penn State, in fact, holds the distinction of graduating the first Ph.D. in turfgrass management. Penn State World Campus is another option for students who want to earn credits through distance learning. Penn State's educational programs in turfgrass management have graduated thousands of turf managers who can be found in the industry throughout the world.

Augusta National Golf Club: Nothing Cosmetic
Augusta National Golf Club's fairways and tees are the greenest. The blooms on the dogwoods and azaleas are the brightest and prettiest. And the ponds that guard some of the most famous holes in golf are picture-book shades of blue. Must be an aggressive fertilization and watering program, right? Guess again.

2014 Golf Turf Management Internships
The 6-month advanced internship program with the Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program is probably one of the most important aspects of the 18-month educational program. Students in the 2-year program are required to complete this advanced internship some time between mid-March and mid-September. The extended nature of the program means that students generally arrive before
