Golf Turf Management Class of 2010!
Congratulations to Penn State's Golf Course Turfgrass Management graduating class of 2010! On March 6, students within the program received their certificates in front of friends and family at the traditional graduation ceremony at the Nittany Lion Inn.

Penn State Takes Two Spots in Top 10 at GCSAA Turf Bowl
The Penn State Turfgrass Program finished in 5th and 9th spot out of the 67 teams competing in this year's GCSAA Collegiate Turf Bowl in San Diego, CA. Due to the generosity of John Deere, the top ten teams earned cash prizes ranging from $300 to $4000. The two teams from Penn State finishing in the top 10 earned a total of $1000 for the Turf Club. Iowa State took home the 1st place trophy.

For the next 46 hours, students at Penn State will be dancing to raise money to fight Pediatric Cancer. This year the Penn State Turf Club even got involved and helped to raise money for the cause.

Penn State Goes to England
If you have been following the changes within the Golf Course Turfgrass Management Program (the 2-year program) at Penn State, you know that one of the new initiatives is to increase the number of international students within the program. In an effort to accomplish this, Penn State will be recruiting at a few upcoming international conferences. This week, I will be traveling to England to attend the BIGGA Turfgrass Management Exhibition (BTME). This event is similar to the Golf Industry Show held annual in conjunction with the Golf Course Superintendent's Association.
