UPDATE: The tailgate will be located in the tented grassed lot adjacent to Jeffrey Field near the paved tailgating lots on the west side of the stadium. We will start to arrive at 10AM!

Join us for the 2018 Penn State Turf Club Tailgate! The Turf Club is hosting a tailgate and invites all turfgrass alumni, family and friends of the program to attend.

This year’s PSU vs. MSU game is earlier than normal, so the tailgate will coincide with the 27th annual Cutter Cup. The Cutter Cup, started by George Hamilton and Trey Rogers, is a Ryder Cup-styled golf match between turfgrass students at MSU and PSU. Dr. Rogers and the MSU turfgrass students will be joining us in State College for the tailgate on Saturday. The Cutter Cup will take place at Butler Country Club on Sunday.

The tailgate will begin at 10 AM, and will continue until kickoff (estimated kickoff is 3:30 PM). Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided by the Turf Club. The tailgate will be setup by “The Tailgate Guys” and held under a large tent between Jeffrey Field and the Bryce Jordan Center. The specific location will be announced closer to the event.

Come out and catch up with faculty, staff, students and alumni, while supporting Penn State and Michigan State students participating in the Cutter Cup! We hope to see everyone there. No RSVP needed.
